How to Celebrate Autumn in Worcester

Posted On: 09/19/2017

New England is famous for many things, but especially for its gorgeous fall season. If you find yourself in central Massachusetts during the upcoming months, Knight’s has put together a guide of the best things to do while you’re here to ring in the chilly months.

Apple Picking
Apple picking, pumpkin picking, corn mazes – oh my! A farm is a great place to spend the day, especially if you’re traveling with family, and there are plenty of beautiful local farms throughout the Massachusetts area that have seasonal events. Lanni Orchards, Tougas Family Farm, and Charlton Orchards Farm all offer apple picking, and are only a short shuttle ride from any Worcester hotel or venue. If you’re still holding onto summer, Gibson’s Dairy Farm, has been running since 1923, and has delicious ice cream – get it while the weather is still mild!

Halloween
Halloween is fast approaching – don’t leave your plans til the last minute! There are plenty of local farms that have pumpkin patches where you can pick out your new Jack-o-lantern or ingredients for pumpkin pie. Worcester is also home to Factory of Terror on Grafton Street, the local haunted house, and New England’s biggest. Stop by for a night of horrors – but if you’re planning on visiting on Halloween, reserve your tickets soon!

Scenic Drives
For the perfect fall day, book one of our town cars for a drive around Massachusetts to take in the trees changing colors. Worcester is also close to Boston, the coast, and more, so let Knight’s Airport Transportation be your go-to travel service around Massachusetts.
