How to Spend a Chilly Day in Worcester

As the weather is getting colder, locals and visitors alike are starting to look for their entertainment indoors. Knight’s has pulled together a short guide to some of the best winter-proof places to spend the day!

American Antiquarian Society

Located on Salisbury Street and Park Avenue, this local academic institution which has been open since 1812 is dedicated to showcasing and educating on pre-20th-century American history and culture with a gorgeous research library. Admission is free and it is open during weekdays.

EcoTarium

This indoor/outdoor museum dedicated to science and nature has three floors full of education exhibits and experiences. From their digital planetarium, interactive exhibits for all ages, and nature trails and animal habitats, the EcoTarium is a great place to spend the day anytime of year. There’s even the Explorer Express Train which will take you on a scenic journey throughout the grounds.

Goddard Exhibition

Located on the second floor of Clark University’s Goddard Library, the Goddard Exhibition showcases the work of Doctor Robert Goddard, the father of Rocketry. Check out his original patents, notebooks, manuscripts, and other memorabilia.
