Knight’s Autumn Guide to Worcester Art Events

Posted On: 11/07/2017

The leaves have already changed color, the trick-or-treaters have left, and Christmas decorations are already stuffing the supermarket aisles. Just because it feels like winter, doesn’t mean there aren’t some seriously great fall events coming up! Knight’s has pulled together what you need to see and do before the month of November is up.

Until November 17th, the Worcester Art Museum hosts Art Cart: Medieval. Bring your children of all ages to dress up in knights’ shining armor, create your own heraldry, and learn more about the Middle Ages!

For a taste of 19th century New England, history buffs will love the heritage exhibit held until the end of the year in Old Sturbridge Village, just a short shuttle ride away from Worcester. The exhibit Planed, Grained, & Dovetailed: Cabinetmaking in Rural New England highlights rare historical objects, as well as information on how they were made, giving visitors a taste of how modern-day craftsmanship came to be.

For theater performances that will get you in the holiday mood, check out The Nutcracker performances scheduled throughout the month at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts. Too soon for the Christmas spirit? The Hanover Theatre has a number of other performances throughout the autumn that are sure to make a great night out!

The annual Holiday Festival of Crafts located in the Worcester Center for Crafts on Sagamore Road is a local tradition beloved by the community. With more than 60 artists and craftsmen displaying their wares for purchase from November 24th until the 26th, this event is the perfect time to kickstart your holiday shopping!

Be sure to book your transportation soon for any of these fall events, as well as your airport transportation, with Knight’s.
